The primary ingredient of this Cleansing Water is of course, water. It is a cleanser that removes all the dirt, grime and make-up on the skin without the need for lathering and rinsing. It’s like a wipe and go! It contains Iceland Moss extracts which soothes the skin as well as improve its elasticity and firmness. It also contains Witch Hazel Extract, Peppermint Leaf Extract, Lemon Grass Extract, Wintergreen Extract and Strawberry Seed Extract.

I am a big fan of double cleansing and a quick route cleansing such as this is a bit awkward for me – but I do see the value of it especially during times when I am in hurry or too lazy to do my 2-step cleansing then this one is the way to go. It effectively removes make-up and it really cleanses the skin. Just to make sure that all residues are removed, I always make a final sweep using a fresh cotton (plus the cleansing water, of course).
This cleanser doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight.

This facial wash contains Niacinamide which controls oil and minimizes the pores. It also has Aloe Vera, for soothing and cooling as well as Burdock Root which restores and gives life to dull looking skin. The main star ingredient is of course the Iceland Moss Extract which is known to soothe skin and reduce inflammation. It is ideal for oily, acne-prone, combination and normal skin. It also addresses oiliness, skin dryness and large pores.

Normally, I would go for a cleanser that doesn’t foam much because it dries my skin. As stated on its name tag, this cleanser really does have foaming action and yes, it did dry my skin. I have combination skin that leans towards dry and most of the time, cleansers such as this strips the moisture off my skin. However, that doesn’t mean that this cleanser is a no-go. Cleansing wise, it does its job. It smells amazing too! Perhaps this cleanser is best for oily skin or acne prone skin.

I am so fascinated with peeling creams and gels. It immediately removes dead skin cells with the pleasure of witnessing it happen right before my eyes. The way peeling creams work is that the ingredients interact with the oil on the skin. For the Iceland Peeling Cream , this ingredient is cellulose. Once the cellulose interacts with the oil, it clumps and serves as little grains which exfoliates and buffs the skin. Visually, it seems like the clumps are the dead skin – but no it is not, however, surely it is covered with all the dead and dry skin it removes.

Notable ingredients for this peeling cream are: Iceland Moss Extract, BHA (Salicylic Acid), Oligo HA, Witch Hazel Extract, Lemon Grass Extract and Strawberry Extract.

What makes this peeling cream special is the Iceland Moss Extract which softens the dead skin cells. This makes it easier for the clumped up cellulose to peel and remove the dead skin.

This peeling cream works and I enjoy using it because of that visual satisfaction while using it. Also, after rinsing off the product, my skin feels softer and smoother. It also looks brighter and livelier.

Aside from the crazy big swag, my most memorable part of this event was the reunion of friends that I met last year. I also finally met some of the Influencers that I have been corresponding on Instagram for years! It's really nice to formally meet them and call them by name and not by their handles. It made this whole K-Beauty community more personable - it really is a community and not just something that exist in social media and internet.

Dr. Jart + Wrinkles Solution Mask

For intensive wrinkle care, this Intra Cellulose Gel Mask has  thermosensitive gel which is activated by body heat. In turn, all the active ingredients are effectively imparted into the skin.

 The main stars of this mask are Collagen, Elastin and Adenosine. It also contains Bio-peptides which work to improve the structure of the skin making it look healthier and more elastic. It also contains Allantoin which promotes growth of new skin cells.




The mask comes in three parts, the top mask, lower mask and the foil sheet that separates the 2 masks. The actual mask is thin and adheres well on the skin. The essence is clear and a little runny. There is no fragrance listed in the ingredients and I did not detect any scent at all. I kept the mask on for 40 minutes until it was almost opaque dry. It did not permanently remove wrinkles (too bad) but it did smoothen the look of it, specially the fine lines. It also appears to be plumper and more hydrated. A more consistent use of this mask will definitely result to a much better (and hopefully permanent) result.

The beauty world is already inundated with all kinds of masks – masks for hydrating, anti-aging, brightening – there is always a mask for any skincare concern. Now, what about skincare concerns that stems out from what we do on a daily basis? Something that can remedy a haggard looking face after a fun night in the town?

The Hangover Sheet Mask

Having a drink, especially in the weekends, is something that is normal to most adults. I mean what fun way can we put a dot on our either stressful or sometime even monotonous work week right? Now, all that buzz you get from the drink comes with a hefty price and you won’t know it until you wake up the following morning, half dead and looking like a dried up zombie with a bad headache. Unfortunately, you have to go about your day – maybe take your kids to soccer practice or maybe meet up with your in-laws. You need to look alive. So what do you do? Shower, drink tea and pile on the concealer under your eyes? Nope. That won’t help because you just drank a pool worth of alcohol and your skin is paying for it. You look swollen and at the same time dehydrated. Your wrinkles look a bit more prominent and worse – you have a tiny zit on your chin. Whew! Sound familiar right?]


Alcohol dehydrates the body. It affects our whole body and most specially our skin. Consuming alcohol dries the skin and deprives it from vital vitamins and nutrients. Drinking a lot of water remedies the thirst and improving bodily function but it will not immediately rehydrate the skin. A little but more assistance is needed to spring up the dried-up skin cells.

Next-Morning’s  Hangover Sheet Mask is mask for, as it’s called, skin hangover remedy. It contains these key ingredients: Aloe Vera juice, Ginseng extract, Pentavitin, Rosewater, Vitamin B3 and B5.


I am familiar with most of the ingredients because it is common to most skincare products in the market. Aloe Vera is trusted anti-irritant and moisturizer. Ginseng is jam packed with vitamins and minerals and is known for its de-puffing abilities. Rosewater has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and calm irritated skin, Vitamins B3 works to improve the appearance of wrinkles while Vitamin B5 nourishes and hydrates the epidermis.

Now, what I am not familiar in its roster of ingredients is Pentavitin and I think this brings the success to the entire formula of the mask. Saccharide Isometrate, commonly known as its trademark name, Pentavitin, is a water-binding agent and emollient. It is plant derived and it is 100% safe on the skin.  It sinks in deep into the layers of the skin keeping it moisturized up to 72 hours. Best thing about it is unlike Hyaluronic Acid, Pentavitin cannot be washed away – therefore all those moisturizing components will stay put for sure!



In terms of the packaging, Next Morning masks are packed in a sleek box that houses a test tube like container with a resealable lid. The mask is inside the tube and each pack comes with a nifty plastic tweezers.
I had a bit of a struggle pulling the mask out of the tube even if I used the tweezers – in the end, I just used my long pinky finger nail to pop the mask out.  The sheet mask is thin and fits quite well on my face. I did not notice any scent at all, which I expected since it does not contain any fragrance. I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. It did not leave any sticky or greasy feeling on my skin. It also immediately made my skin look fresher and healthier. I also applied make up after masking and I am glad that it works well under foundation. I have to say that the whole day, I look a lot better – my skin did not fail me.


There was also a lot of serum left in the bottle. With the unique packaging, I can save the excess serum for another day’s use. I honestly think that the formula is not just for hang-over skin relief. If you need an extra hydrating “umph” then this mask could be the answer to it.

Centella Multi Toner

This multi toner is quite similar to the Centella Multi Cleansing Water having Centella Asiatica, Tea Tree Oil and Salicylic Acid as its main ingredient. What makes it extra special is the addition of these known additions: Sodium Hyaluronate, Green Tea extract, Allantoin and Arginine.



Sodium Hyaluronate is known for its skin plumping effect through hydration. Allantoin is a non-irritating moisturizing ingredient. Arginine  protects the skin from photoaging  while the Green Tea extracts help diminish signs of aging.

The texture of this toner is bit thick almost similar to a light serum. Tea Tree with a touch of Lavender is the distinguishable scent of this toner. It is very noticeable but it thank goodness that it doesn’t linger long since I am not really big fan of tea tree scent.


Once applied, it initially leaves a thin oil like film on the surface of the skin but it dries to a complete smooth non-oily finish. Immediate impression includes hydration and skin plumping action. It also has brightening effects on the skin.
The formula is very soothing on the skin. It is very light and non-irritating.

Pure Foret  Centella Multi Cleansing Water 

This alcohol free cleansing water easily removes all the make-up, dirt and  grime on the skin without the unnecessary tugging and stinging commonly left with other make up remover. It is just that – water. There is no oily or unpleasant greasy feeling. What I like the most about this cleanser is how easily it removes my eye make-up (and that includes mascara). I am so used to using balms and oils and sometimes these products seeps into my eyes giving me this hazy weird vision. I never had this kind of experience with PureForet Centella Cleansing Water.  



Scent wise, the most detectable scent in this formula is the Tea Tree oil although it is very mild and not overwhelmingly potent. It does not leave my skin feeling dry and tight after using it.

Thank You Farmer True Water



 During the summer months, my combination skin tends to lean being oily. With the hot weather plus the tendency to have an oil-ridden face, it’s a bit difficult to really stick to having a good skincare routine that we be comfortable on the skin. What I like about Thank You Farmer True Water skincare line is that it answers my summer skincare needs. It is very light, refreshing and most of oil – it controls my oily skin.



The two natural star ingredients in this line is Inositol which is used to treat acne by controlling the skin’s over production of sebum. It also has Trehalose which has water binding and rehydrating properties.




Thank You Light Toner

This toner is targeted to those who has oily or combination skin that leads towards normal/oily. It is also ok to use for acne prone skin. It works to tighten the pores, smoothen rough skin and control sebum.

The botanical ingredients mostly focus on sebum control and pore tightening.
For this function notable ingredients include Willow Bark Extract, Scutellaria Baicalenis Root Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark extract, Portuluca Oleracea Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Soybean Ferment Extract, Chamaecyparis Octusa Leaf Extract.

Camellia Sinesis Leaf Water, Monarda Didyma Leaf Extract, Centaurea Cyabus Flower Water and Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water are added to tighten the pores as well as soothe and nourish the skin.

Coloreless,watery, flowy and very fluid, this toner has a light floral scent. The scent is not naturally derived since fragrance is listed as one of its ingredients.

This toner is to be used both in the morning and evening, right after washing the skin. Apply the toner on a cotton pad and gently wipe across the surface of the skin to remove remaining skin dirt and debris lodged in the pores. Using this toner prepares the skin for emulsions and skin creams.

What I like about this toner is how refreshing it is on the skin. The scent also is very reminiscent of my childhood! I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is but I feel like I have encountered this scent before in the past.  Since the toner is watery, it did not leave any grease like finish on my skin. There is also no feeling of over cleansing or skin tightening. Applying just the toner alone, I already felt that my skin is quenched and hydrated.  It also made the absorption of facial lotion easier on my skin.



Thank You Farmer Light Emulsion

Containing Inositol and Trehalose, this very light form of moisture also has Hydrolized Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Hyaluronate. These two added ingredients prevent the skin from drying and moisture loss. It also improves the texture of the skin by making it suppler.

Additional unique ingredients include Algae Extracts which is full of nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and peptides. It draws toxins out of the skin while replenishing it with much needed vitamins and minerals.  Beta Glucan, which is mostly found in mushrooms, helps calm irritated skin. It is also an effective anti-aging ingredient.

This emulsion is similar to a facial lotion, only it is lighter and more fluid in consistency. It is like water on the skin – very hydrating and fresh.

I apply this emulsion both in the morning and evening, right after applying toner. It sinks in beautifully in the skin without leaving a trail of greasiness and drying to a smooth finish. The emulsion gives enough hydration without compromising efficacy of my next skin care product that I use to layer in top of it. 

As it is, I find that True Water Emulsion in enough to keep my skin moisturized throughout the day. For a quick morning skincare routine, I can just use the toner, emulsion and sunscreen. This combination doesn’t make my skin feel oily throughout the day.



Thank You Farmer True Water Light Gel Cream

Working like a sleeping mask, this gel cream locks in moisture while cooling and soothing the skin.

It contains Inositol, Aloe Vera Juice, Portulaca Extract, Cnidium Officinale Root Extract, Peony Extract and Betaine. These ingredients calms, revitalizes, soothes and moisturizes the skin.

It is best applied with a face brush – but I think applying it with fingers is just ok. A tiny amount of the gel is enough to cover the whole face. This thick gel cream has a faint citrusy scent. It doesn’t completely melt sinks into the skin – just like a sleeping mask, it leaves a thin film of product on the skin.

Dr. Jart Shake and Shot Rubber Soothing Mask

How fun is this mask?! First of all – the packaging is really cute and quirky! The lid is half creepy and half adorable. I have been seeing this mask on IG for a long time and I am glad that I was able to snag a chance to try and review this. 



This mask is DIY inspired.  The pack contains 2 mixing concoction, a stirrer/applicator and the cup like package serves as the mixing bowl.



There are 2 parts of the formula. First is the Shaking Rubber, which is the main material of the mask and second the Shooting Shot, which is the ampoule or the liquid substance. The idea is to shake both formulas together until it is fully mixed. Apply the thick mixture on the face and allow to completely dry into a rubber-like mask. Once it dries, peel it then wipe the skin with a damp cloth to remove any reside. In fact, the mask leaves an oily residue that is why it is really a good idea to wipe it off the skin.  Follow up with a moisturizer. I did not detect any scent on the mask. If there is, it’s very faint and unnoticeable.



What makes this mask special aside from the fun experience is that it contains Alpinia which cools and soothes stressed skin. It also contains Guajava Leaf Extract, Aloe Extract and Azulene which works to calm irritated skin.
The immediate effects of this mask are definitely the cooling and calming effect! It is a fun mask and I truly enjoyed using
