Thermus All Day Vitalizing Line

The main ingredient of this line is the extract from the oldest living microorganism on Earth. The Thermus Themophillus is a Gram-negative bacterium that was first isolated in 1971, Japan. They are anaerobes – they can live in very hot environments, hence they are found mostly in geothermic environments such as hot springs and undersea volcanic thermal vents. It can withstand heat and chemicals.

Boasting all these characteristics, Thermus promises to improve damaged skin due to environmental factors such as heat and pollution.

Thermus product ingredients are all non-toxic (Green level)

Puregen Thermus All Day Vitalizing Toner

Notable Ingredients:

Thermus Thermophillus

Niacinamide

Caviar Extract

Algae Extract

Propolis Extract

This toner is heavenly! Aside from its beautiful sleek glass pump bottle, the toner itself feels very luxurious on the skin. It has a mild floral –citrusy scent (fragrance based) and has a slightly viscous texture. I like to use it by patting the toner on my skin instead of using cotton because I feel like it wastes the product. As long as I know that my skin is spotless and clean, I just apply this toner as it is.

Absorption is excellent. It also leaves a thin amount of moisture on my skin. I also noticed that my skin absorbs moisturizers better after applying this toner.

Puregen Thermus All Day Vitalizing Eye Cream

Notable Ingredients:

Thermus Thermophillus

Niacinamide

Rosa Canina Fruit Oil

Shea Butter

I already have fine lines around my eyes that look even deeper when I squint or smile. What I like about this eye cream is that once it sinks in to the skin, the lines look a bit less prominent. I know that this is just a temporary result but I am pretty sure that a more consistent use will make it look even better. I also like how it brightens the skin around my eye area, making it look less tired and dull. I use this eye cream after I apply the Thermus All Day Vitalizing Toner.

Puregen Thermus All Day Vitalizing Essence

Notable Ingredients:

Thermus Thermophillus

Niacinamide

Camellia Japonica Seed Oil

Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil

Propolis Extract

A lot of people forego using essence in their everyday skincare routine. Essences penetrates deep in to the layers of the skin, balancing it after cleansing and toning (which we know tends to strip skin from essential oils and moisture) while giving it a boost of hydration, To top it, essence also primes the skin for superb absorption of creams or moisturizers.

Having a thin lotion like texture, the Thermus Essence is absorbed by the skin in a matter of seconds! It gives the skin a silly and non-greasy finish. What I like about this is its lightweight formula making it the perfect layering product.

Although this essence contains fragrance, it is less noticeable compared to the Thermus toner.

Puregen Thermus All Day Vitalizing Cream

Notable Ingredients:

Thermus Thermophillus

Niacinamide

Rosa Canina Fruit Oil

Shea Butter

Galactomyces

This really is beautiful lightweight moisturizer. The Galactomyces effectively moisturizes the skin while the niacinamide brightens the complexion of the skin making it look fresher and bouncier to the touch.

This moisturizer has a thinner consistency compared to other facial creams that tends to be dense and thick. It has mild rose scent that lingers a bit after application. Since this is very lightweight, it does not leave the skin feeling heavy and oily. Even after the following day, my skin feel moisturized without the trace of oiliness on my nose, forehead and chin.

Additional Thoughts:

It has been a few weeks since I started using all four Thermus products and I have noticed that my skin really improved a lot. Having tried a lot (and I mean A LOT) of skincare products, this line from Thermus is something that will not end up in the back burner for me. I really like it and for sure it will be part of my regular skincare routine. Being skincare guinea pig, I subject my skin to different formulas - most of the products I use, I end up not using at all even if it is good. I only have a handfull of brands that I love and trust - and right now, Thermus is part of it.

Centella Multi Toner

This multi toner is quite similar to the Centella Multi Cleansing Water having Centella Asiatica, Tea Tree Oil and Salicylic Acid as its main ingredient. What makes it extra special is the addition of these known additions: Sodium Hyaluronate, Green Tea extract, Allantoin and Arginine.

Sodium Hyaluronate is known for its skin plumping effect through hydration. Allantoin is a non-irritating moisturizing ingredient. Arginine  protects the skin from photoaging  while the Green Tea extracts help diminish signs of aging.

The texture of this toner is bit thick almost similar to a light serum. Tea Tree with a touch of Lavender is the distinguishable scent of this toner. It is very noticeable but it thank goodness that it doesn’t linger long since I am not really big fan of tea tree scent.

Once applied, it initially leaves a thin oil like film on the surface of the skin but it dries to a complete smooth non-oily finish. Immediate impression includes hydration and skin plumping action. It also has brightening effects on the skin.
The formula is very soothing on the skin. It is very light and non-irritating.

Benton Snail Bee

Since I have been introduced to Asian Skincare, specifically Korean brands, I have stumbled upon the most interesting ingredients that I would not normally apply on skin have I not kept an open mind. Snail and bee venom is not new to me anymore, however, I know that a lot of people are still in the dark about these 2 potent skin care ingredient.

Benton Cosmetics Snail Bee line banks on the power of these two unique creatures. It may not be vegan skincare option but, hear me out – it is really good.

Snail Secretion Filtrate

This is the mucus that the snails produce when they move. It contains tons of nutrients and is known for its anti-aging, hydrating and soothing properties. It contains hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans and other antimicrobial bodies that help the snail’s skin from infection, dryness and damage. These benefits can apply to our skin too!

Bee Venom

This venom is the natural alternative to botox. It smoothens and firms fine lines by stimulating facial muscles.  Aside from skincare, bee venom is also used in the medical field to treat arthritis, nerve pain and multiple sclerosis.

Snail Bee High Content Skin Toner

Adding Camellia Sinesis Leaf Water into the mix of Snail Secretion Filtrate and Bee Venom, this toner hydrates and smoothen the skin.

The product is dispensed in a plastic pump bottle. This watery toner is very liquid and does not contain any chemical viscosity ingredient. It is also unscented and colorless.

I applied this toner after cleansing. Since it is as liquid as water, I only apply one pump at a time because the toner will only run and spill down to the crevices between my fingers. Absorption is perfect; it sinks in quickly in to the skin. No burning sensation, no stings and no skin dry dryness.

Available at Joahye ($16.90)

Snail Bee Ultimate Serum

This serum is part of the Snail Bee Ultimate Line which banks on the full potential of the basic Snail Bee line. Let’s just say that this is the platinum line of the Snail Bee experience.

Notable ingredients aside from snail secretion filtrate and bee venom includes: Sodium Hyaluronate, Camellia Sinesis Leaf water, Aloe Leaf Juice Extract, Tea Tree Leaf Water and Niacimide.

Benefits includes skin nourishment, skin damage prevention, corrects hyperpigmentation, improves skin tone and texture.

The serum is clear and has a viscous consistency. It spreads smoothly to the skin without leaving any greasiness or tackiness. It is also unscented.

I use this serum right after I used the Snail Bee toner. It is absorbed fast and it leaves the skin feeling smooth and looking suppler.

Available at Joahye ($25.90)

Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream

This facial cream contains hyaluronic acid, Jojoba Seed oil, Sunflower Oil and a whole myriad of botanical  extracts such as Plantago Asiatica, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Willow Bark Extract, Elm Bark Extract and Laminaria Digitata (Oarweed – Algae). Of course, it contains the star ingredient: Snail Secretion Filtrate and Bee Venom.

This light weight facial cream has a naturally clean and fresh scent that comes from the ingredients. It does not contain any synthetic fragrances.  I use this cream after applying serum. It goes on the skin smoothly and dries to a silky soft finish.

What I like about this cream is that it seals in all the moisture from the toner and serum as well as add another layer of hydration, making my skin feel nourished. On top of that, it does not make my skin feel greasy or oily throughout the day.

Available at Joahye ($14.32)
