Loot Crate is a monthly mystery subscription box of geek and gamer gear.  It is filled with exclusive items from the biggest and most popular pop culture franchises. The cost for a monthly subscription is $21.99 (Includes Shipping and Handling).

The Loot Crate umbrella now offers other boxes such as Loot Crate Pets and Loot Crate Anime.

This Unboxing is for the original Loot Crate box.

This month's theme is Discover

For me, the best item in the box is the monthly pin. I have definitely collected all the pins since I started this subscription! I value the pins more than the actual collectibles in the box.

The pins also reveals additional digital loot, which can be claimed online on lootcrate.com

Here is this month's digital loot:

That's 3 digital comics and Westworld bonus content.

As always, the box can be flipped inside out to reveal a uniquely designed box.

Perhaps the only thing missing this month is the monthly Loot Crate magazine. A small info card took its place. I don't really mind the change since my monthly magazine always end up in the trash - but still, the small mag adds a little more value to the box.

Westworld SuperEmoScenes Diorama

X-Files Card Game

Rick and Morty Shirt

Harry Potter Socks

B.liv Deep Impact

This is a beautiful creamy emulsion that has a very thick consistency and lathers smoothly on the skin. It has natural Jojoba beads which naturally exfoliates the skin. This form of exfoliant is very safe because it does not leave any micro-laceration on the skin. It also melts on the skin thus moisturizing it more.

Other ingredients include:
Kaolin - absorbs excess oil and dead skin cells.
Witch hazel - serves as an anti-oxidant and astringent
Aloe Vera - has anti-inflammation properties and also soothes inflamed skin
Tea Tree Oil -   antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties

Noted Ingredients:
aqua (water), disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, sodium lauryl sulfate, glycerin, cocamidopropyl betaine, kaolin, peg-7 glyceryl cocoate, jojoba esters, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) bark/leaf/twig extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, titanium dioxide, hydroxyethyl cellulose, xanthan gum, citric acid, methylparaben, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil

Impression:
This cleanser really does deep clean the skin without stripping it off any essential moisture. The jojoba beads also provide a good exfoliation of the skin. After rinsing, I noticed that my skin look supple, brighter and very soft to the touch. It does not leave the skin feeling tight and dry. I also find that this cleanser preps the skin well for the application of moisturizer. Basically, this cleanser works as a three-in-one product for me: deep cleanser, exfoliator and wet skin moisturizer.
I used this cleanser for a few weeks to make sure that there will be no adverse effects on my skin. I am glad to say that I did not develop any rashes, pimples or any allergies while using b.liv Deep Impact cleanser. On the other hand, it did improve the overall texture and condition of my skin.

MishiBox is a Korean beauty monthly subscription box.

It offers a combination of 4-6 deluxe and full-sized Korean beauty products each month. Subscription is $19.95 per month with free shipping.  They also offer an annual subscription rate of $239.40. This is the easiest and most affordable way to try and test Korean beauty brands.

Each box contains a card describing all the items in the box.  It also gives the instructions on  how to use the products.  This is very helpful since most labels and how to's are written in Korean.

Here is this month's box:

Hmmm. As the first box of the year, I find the selection of products short and disappointing.  In as much as all five goodies are full size, I cannot help but notice that the 3 one-time use mask are bit stingy in terms of value.

Here's a closer look of the products included in this month's box:

Purebess
Multi-4 Syn-Ake Cream
Full Size
Retail: $15

This cream is a synthetic peptide developed to mimic snake venom, specifically the Temple Viper.  Venon, in low doses, can improve the appearance of wrinkles. Syn-Ake reduces muscle contractions of the face, thus minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. This reminds me of botox!

Machihyun 20%
Calming Ampoule
Full Size
Retail: $22

This product contains Portulaca Oleracea extract and Glycerin to calm irritated skin.
This ampoule is best to use during the winter months as it calms chapped skin due to dry cold weather.

Re, DNA
Dual effect Eyezone Pack
Full Size
Retail: $2

This eye pack uses EGF (epidermal Growth Factor) to help increase elasticity  and moisture to the sensitive skin around the eyes.

A'Pieu
NonCo Tea Tree Spot Patch
Full Size
Retail: $1.50

This patch helps in calming irritated skin - think about pimples and breakouts. I personally love using Tea Tree oil when I have zits popping out of the skin. It works well and fast!

Skin's Boni
Yogurt Bonimini Wash Off Mud Pack in Green Tea
Full Size
Retail: $4

This wash off mask balances the skin's pH to 5.5. It contains Bentonite and Kaoline which removes sebum and deep seated dirt in the skin.

All in all, aside from the unique selection of products, the full value of this box is a let-down. Three items are less than $5!

SOC 3D Mask in Lipidure

This is the second time that I have tried SOC 3D mask and I am loving it. The fit is perfect and the serum is simply amazing! The mask is well drenched in this lovely barely scented serum which leaves the skin super soft and hydrated without leaving any sticky after feel.
The variant that I tried this time is Lipidure. I have never heard of Lipidure – ever. I made a little research and found out that it controls the production of melanin and it prevents blemishes and freckles caused by sunburn. It is also an excellent moisturizer.

SOC 3D Rice Wine Mask

This is a beautiful 3D mask because it fits my face perfectly. It doesn’t have any awkwardness to it compared to other 3D mask – it also goes well around the cheeks, forehead and chin making the fit well close to being accurate. The sheet mask is thick and holds a good amount of serum.

The serum has a slightly dense consistency and a little bit scented. I kept the mask on for 25 minutes. It left my skin, bright and looking very well nourished. I used the mask at night right before going to bed. The following morning, my skin still looks pretty amazing.
