Mirae Oxygen N.M.F  - EX 8 Minute Mask

Masking usually takes about 15 minutes (at least) but most of the time, it runs for a good 20-30 minutes. If you do not have the luxury of time to sit still and wait, then fast masking is definitely something to consider. Mirae offers a line of 8-minute masks that promises to cut down sitting time without compromising the benefits of masking.

I tried the Oxygen mask which promises to brighten dark spots, revive dull complexion. It contains Arbutin which brightens uneven skin tones. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Algae Extract and Neroli Extract – these ingredients moisturizes and nourishes the skin.

The sheet mask is very thin and it comes with a foil like backing which protects the shape of the mask. It is well soaked in a thin, clear essence. The scent if the essence is very faint and almost undetectable. Fit is very good, however, I find it hard to adjust fearing that I would tear or over yank the mask.

I used this mask early in the morning before going to work, hence, the reality of me not really having time to wait for 20 minutes. I kept the mask on for exactly 8 minutes – it was not completely dry but it was not soaking wet. There was still essence left on my skin, which I patted until it was complete absorbed.

The results were pretty good. My skin was well hydrated and moisturized. I also notice a bit of brightening. The  essence did not leave any tackiness on the skin.

Over all, this is an amazing on-the-go mask. I appreciate the fact that I can mask in a jiffy without compromising the full benefits of a masking process.

How to Use:

There are two ways of preparing this mask – one is for dry skin and the other for oily skin. The recipe for oily skin requires mixing the powder with water or rose water. For dry skin, the powder should be mixed with oil or milk. A little goes a long way with this mask – less than half a teaspoon of powder is enough for a facial mask.

As for me, I have dry skin. I mixed a small portion of the powder with a few drops of almond oil. I stirred it until it smooth. I applied it evenly on my skin and allowed it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it.

My Experience:

I love that I have a part in creating my own mask. It is just like pouring in more love to what I am going to put on my skin. The mask applies smoothly on the skin and it does not really have any strong scent – this makes the whole masking process very pleasant. I was initially thinking that maybe the powder, once wet will give out a strong odor, however it did not. I also did not feel any sting or uncomfortable tightening while masking.

After rinsing, the most immediate visible result is that my skin looks brighter, cleaner and more refreshed. The oil definitely moisturized my skin but the mask made it look more alive. I have dull skin and this mask made it look much better.

I have been using this mask for more than a month now for at least 2-3 times a week. I had no allergic reaction and my skin did not break out or develop any rashes.

All in all, this mask is a must have item. This is a skincare that works and it is safe as well. 

Eyenlip  Salmon Oil Moisture Essence Mask

This mask contains salmon oil which is rich in vitamin D and omega-6 fatty acid. It works to reduce dark circles around the eye area and it also prevents wrinkles. It is also excellent moisturizing the skin.

This mask is beautifully packaged in a matte foil pack adorned with flowers. The sheet mask is fairly thin (made of 100% cotton) and well drenched in essence – and I mean drenched! In fact, it was pretty drippy. Either the essence is too watery or the mask is too thin to absorb majority of the essence. The fit of the mask is ok however; the eye and mouth holes are a bit small, hence giving way for the essence to go drip down the eyes and lips. There was also a lot more essence left in the pouch which is honestly good for another mask application. For sure, I will drop a dry sheet mask in the pouch for another use. It’s a shame to waste a beautiful essence.

The essence has a robust rose fragrance. It is not overwhelming but you would definitely get a whiff of it.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. The mask was still wet when I discarded it. The leftover essence on my skin took about a minute of patting down before it got fully absorbed by my skin. No tacky or stick residue were left and that is good.

The results are pretty ok. Hydration is good and I feel like my skin is well moisturized. No immediate visible changes.

Face and Body Hair Removing Tool

If there is one thing that I am fuzzy about is facial hair – particularly the upper lip area. I do not care about the peach fuzz on the cheeks (unless it is looks like a field already) but I do like the stache area to be hairless and smooth. I have tried several methods including waxing and epilators, but never have I tried shaving. My go-to technique is the epilator but it is just too painful. I really think that shaving will make the hairs grow thick, which I know deep down inside is only an old-wives tale – it is not true; however, I still do not want to risk it and wake up looking like my husband.

I was given a chance to sty and test this really cute and tiny facial (and body) hair remover tool from Endomedics. This nifty little gadget is called Solstick Mini. It measures 4.5” long and requires one AA battery to operate. The diameter of the top and bottom part measures 1” but the actual shaver measures only ¾”. The body of the stick also slims down towards the bottom making it easier to hold and handle.

Using Solstick Mini is very easy. Just turn on the switch and shave a-way! It is painless and very safe to use. I did not feel any discomfort while using this product. Compared to super painful waxing and epilating, Solstick is definitely heaven! I also like the fact that there is no open and exposed blade threatening to cut my skin.  

After using Solstick

I used this shaver a couple of times in a period of a month just to make sure that my facial hair will not grow thick, and yes, it did not grow thick! Deep down inside, I know that it will really not but I just have to see the proof.

I am very happy with this hair remover and I definitely recommend it! It is very convenient and it works very well!

Annie’s Way Peptide and Rose Rejuvenating Mask is part of the new line of sheet mask called Fantasy Land. What makes this mask different and special from other masks in the market is that the thinness is 1/3 only compared to a regular sheet mask. It is very delicate and lightweight like a feather.

Notable ingredients includes: Rose Flower Water (For Hydration), Squalene (Effective moisturizer) and Peony Root extract (Soothing benefits).

What does it do? Brightens, moisturizes & tones the skin. It also prevents wrinkles.

The mask is well soaked in essence and even though it is very thin, it can hold a good amount of liquid. Be gentle when handling the mask as it is very fragile. One tight tug can deform the shape of this mask. The sheet mask is protected by a plastic foil backing to keep it from sticking together; however, it is not that effective in making the application of the mask any easier. Bottom line -  just be mindful when applying the mask.

Since the essence is infused with rose, the scent of course is musky-floral just like any other rose based products. The scent is not sublime but not overwhelming, so take this in to consideration if you are not a fan of floral scent. As for me, I love the scent. It is very relaxing and soothing, perfect for an evening skincare routine.

I kept this mask on for about 20 minutes. Just like the other masks in this line, the essence is very effective in terms of hydration. It also did not leave any stickiness or tackiness on my skin.

This amazing mask from Annie’s Way contains Hyaluronicacid which hydrates the skin and locks in moisture. Sea Weed also provides hydration as well as anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.

This mask is definitely a third thinner than most masks in the market. It is very delicate; hence, conscious care must be applied when putting on this mask. Be very careful when adjusting the mask on the face because the material will easily stretch and it will affect the look and fit of the mask.I made a mistake of non-stop adjusting and I ended up having torn and over stretched mask on my face.

On the other hand, in spite of the thinness, this sheet mask is well drenched in clear almost unscented essence. It holds a lot of liquid, which is exactly what I want.
