Life Essentials Skin Care - Eye Cream Review

Most women have this never ending life long struggle to find the best beauty product that can mask away any signs of aging.  Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a fountain of youth in a bottle. You can seriously wipe out your whole month’s worth of grocery budget on a bottle of cream that for sure  - will – not – work.  Botox and plastic surgery can only do so much and most of the time, it doesn’t look ‘natural’ at all.  It completely changes the look of a person. Ala “hello – Rene Zelweger?  Is that you?” kind of thing.

In spite of this, we still try to at least find something that can slow down the signs of aging and treat some visible signs such as fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

I was given an opportunity to try and review Life Essentials Skin Care Eye Cream.  Honestly, I still haven’t found my own holy grail version of eye cream.  According to their product description posted on Amazon, it is formulated to fight signs of aging while keeping the eye area moisturized and protected all day long. It has herbal infusion that works to heal and calm skin while gently erasing pigmentation and preventing further discoloration, leaving you with brighter and refreshed skin.

Wow. That is a lot of promise.

Here is my experience. First of all, I do have signs of premature aging. I am a former smoker who smoked for about 9 years.  I barely use sunscreen during my 20’s when I was still living in the Philippines and as a Netflix and TV addict, I always have less than 7 hours of sleep every day. I have fine crow’s feet around my eyes and a few sunspots on top of my cheekbones.

I used the product every night for three weeks. I did not really see any drastic changes in the skin around my eyes. Crow’s feet and fine lines are still there. What I did notice is that I look more refreshed after I wake up. My eyes are not puffy and I don’t have that ‘tired from sleeping look’.

The cream in itself is very refreshing to the skin.  It is not oily and the skin absorbs it quickly.

All in all, the product is not bad.  It is not a miracle product but it does have a few benefits.
