Do not be fooled with this tiny bottle of golden goodness. The Elements of Aliel Glow Serum is packed with a unique blend of botanical extracts such as aloe vera juice, honeyquat, rose extract, white willow bark extract and kosher vegetable glycerin.

The thin consistency of this serum makes it easy for the skin to quickly absorb it without leaving any thin film of product on the surface if the skin. This makes it a perfect serum for layering. It doesn’t ‘mix’ with other facial creams – which mean no annoying pilling.  It is best used right after cleansing (and toning). As a serum, it easily penetrates down deeply into the skin giving the skin its much needed hydration boost. It also imparts the nutrients down to the base of the skin making it look more radiant and healthy.

For someone with a dry skin like mine, my skin drinks every single drop of the serum like water. It really does give my skin an extra boost of moisture.

Another way that I incorporate this serum in my daily skincare routine is by adding a few drops of this serum in my liquid foundation. Since the consistency is like water, it only thins the foundation giving it a light and more airy texture. This gives me a make-up finish that has a dewy look.

The Glow Serum is free from paraben, preservatives, synthetic fragrance and chemicals. It is made of 100% pure ingredients

Check out Arilan Skincare’s Hydrating Oil Cocktail! This right now is my miracle cure for my dry skin – I mean, what can beat oil in terms of hydrating, right? Common misconception about is that it makes the skin oily  - mmm no. It doesn’t. As long you apply just enough and not excessively then all is well.

This cocktail of oils is 100% organic. The concoction is a blend of oils and herbal extracts such as  Safflower Seed oil, Argan Oil, Squalene, Jojoba, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Macadamia, Olive, Gardenia Flower Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Chamomile, Grape Seed Oil, Rosemary and more.

I use this oil on my face, hands and even hair. No oil slicks. No greasy feeling. Just pure hydration. I also use this oil on my 8 year daughter. Her skin dried up from the cold weather and this oil definitely gives her much needed relief. She likes it compared to using Cetaphil cream because it is much easier to apply. She doesn’t like creams because she gets bothered when she accidentally applies it close to her eye area. So what I do is I just place 3 drops of oil on her palms and she just massages it on her face. She likes that it is not bothersome on the eye area and that it doesn’t sting. As for me, I am confident to give this to my child because it is made with natural ingredients and it is also paraben free.

What draws you to a skincare product that you have just stumbled upon? Me – that would be an awesome packaging. Yes, I am sucker for a unique packaging. Two reasons: One – it makes a great subject to a beautiful Instagram post and Two – if the brand gives an effort to their outside appearance, more often than not, what is inside the jar must be really good. Generic packaging almost – always end up with a generic formula.

Now, I raved a couple of post back about how awesome Hawaiian Healing packaging is…I mean, check out their page and see for yourself! Lemme gush a bit more. This gifting-ready beauty is housed in a soft wooden container that is sealed by a thin ribbon. Once opened, you’d find a glass jar with a beautiful bamboo lid engraved with a hibiscus flower. How beautiful is that? That screams
Hawaiian 100%!

‘Nuf of the packaging.

Hawaiian Healing sources all of their ingredients from Hawaii. They use natural and/or organic ingredients in creating their concoctions. All products are made every week in small batches. Rest assured that you are not going to get something that is sitting in their bottom shelf for three years because they do not mass produce. You get fresh products all the time.

Now a proud member of the Hawaiian Healing tribe, I was given a chance to try and test their Coconut Scented Pure Revitalizing Cream. Coconuts have a special place in my heart (no pun intended). Being born and raised in the Philippines, it played a big part in my life – we eat it and we use it in a lot of skincare products.

What does it contain?
Based on their website, it contains a mix of 22 oils and botanicals extracts. What stands out for me the most are: Organic Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Agran Oil, Raw Organic Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Raw Organic Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Honey and Coconut Oil.

Homerun: The Macadamia nut oil and Macadamia nut honey is new to me. The oil works used to treat damaged and aging skin. It contains paletoleic acid which contains many anti-aging compounds. The honey has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and is also full of vitamins A and E.

How Did It Go?
It went well! The thick cream once applied sinks in fast in to the layers of the skin. I was expecting a ‘cream’ like finish after application but I was surprised that it did not leave any thin film of cream on the surface of the skin. It hydrated the skin in a snap! No oily after feel even after the following morning. I also use this cream to moisturize the parts of my body that needs help – like my elbows and knees. In fact, I also used it on my Keratosis Pilaris ridden arms and it did not flare up! Nice!
