Pureceuticals Ferulic C Antioxidant Serum

This serum is infused with 20% Vitamin C and .05 Ferulic Acid.  It is a powerful anti-aging serum that brightens the skin as well as serves as a solution for dryness, dullness and uneven texture. It has a fact absorbing, oil-free formula that delivers all-day hydration.

I have been using this serum for a while now, both in morning and in the evening. It has a sap like scent that immediately goes away in a matter of seconds. Since absorption is excellent. There is barely any wait-time for moisturizer application. It takes seconds for the serum to seep through the skin. It leaves my skin soft but matte enough to layer other products like moisturizers and make up.

I have sunspots on my cheeks (thank you Los Angeles sun) and it became visibly lighter. In terms of texture, it definitely made my skin more supple, evenly toned and definitely clearer. This is the most notable benefits of having Vitamic C in skincare.

Pureceuticals Grape Seed Hydrating Crème

This thick, creamy and highly dense moisturizer contains potent anti-oxidants from grape seed extracts. It also contains organic oils as well as raspberry fruit, spinach and licorice root extract for that extra radiance boost.

It has light sweet fruity scent that reminds me of bubble gum. It lingers for a couple of minutes before diminishing completely.  Absorption is also very good. It applies smoothly on the skin leaving it soft and smooth without any greasy and oily after feel. It moisturizes my skin while giving it a radiant glow.

I use this moisturizing crème right after applying Pureceuticals Ferulic C Antioxidant Serum. It pairs well together and so far, no adverse effects on my skin.

Luoki Nordic Glacial Water Sleeping Pack

Sleeping masks (or packs) has been getting a lot of noise lately. It adds extra layer of nutrients and hydration on the skin revealing a more supple and healthy texture the morning after application. Formulated with nutrient and mineral rich Iceland Olfus Glacial Water, this mask cools, calms and nourishes the skin. Notable ingredients includes Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide and Safflower Bud.  This cream is also free of synthetic fragrance, artificial coloring and paraben.

The lightweight, thick, jelly like consistency of this ‘cream’ feels very cool against the skin. It applies smoothly and settles quickly, leaving a non-greasy finish. The beautiful citrusy scent of Bergamot is prominent in this product. The scent is very calming and rejuvenating at the same time. It is definitely the best way to cap a skincare routine.

Using this sleeping pack renders my skin soft and smooth the following day. I always wake up to a more supple and hydrated skin.  I also did not develop any rashes or pimples while using this product.

Luoki Nordic Glacial Water Sleeping Pack is available at  www.mishibox.com

Rarita Seahorse Anti Oxidant Cream

This potent cream promises to increase skin’s vitality. It also functions as an anti-wrinkle and whitening cream.

The main ingredient is Jeju Seahorse extract, which has been used for centuries for its anti-aging and nutritional values. It also contains natural peptides which improves skin’s health and texture.
These seahorses are specially farmed and supervised in Jeju. These are not from the wild, thus, not hurting the seahorse population and the environment.

Other notable ingredients includes: Jeju Minieral Lava Water, Camellia Oil, Cactus Extract, Mandarin Orange Peel Extract, Hypocaeris Cilata Extract, Mongolian Snakeground Fruit Extract, Canola Extract and 8 more anti-oxidizing components. It also contains 24K pure gold powder, which is visibly suspended on the cream.

The white, luxurious and smooth texture of this cream feels velvety once applied on the skin. Absorption is perfect – it melts on the skin and seeps through in minutes. There is no oily residue left on the skin as well. It is very light yet very effective in moisturizing and hydrating the surface of the skin. In terms of smell, it has a very subtle citrus-flowery scent that is very welcoming and not overwhelming.

All in all, I am pretty much happy with this cream. It's just a bit expensive at $88 (more or less). It definietly is a luxury skincare product.

Hip Chic Sleeping Hair Mask – Shea Butter

This hair mask comes in two parts – the treatment cream and the hair cap.

It is formulated with shea butter which is effective in moisturizing hair. It also protects hair color and tames unruly hair.

I love using hair mask but I have not tried anything that is past the sitting time of 30 minutes, let alone overnight. As per instruction, I applied the thick white cream on my hair, concentrating more on the tips (since this is the driest and most damaged part of my hair). The cream is slightly scented – it has a much toned down floral-nutty scent. After applying the cream, I put on the hair cap over my head. I thought that the cap would have something in it too but it is just a simple ‘ole cap.

I kept the product on my hair for a good 10 hours before rinsing it. The results are amazing! My hair is very soft to the touch and tangle free. I can run my fingers without resistance from tangles. It also looks shinier. I guess a more consistent use of this hair mask will result to a much healthier and better looking hair.

Soo Ae Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask

Is a charcoal powder based carbonated wash off mask that cleanses, exfoliates and unclogs pores. It bubbles up and removes dead skin cells, dirt and sebum.

The mask is grayish in color and does not have any distinguishable scent.

I applied the mask evenly on my freshly washed and damp skin. Less than a few seconds later, the bubbles started foaming. I kept the bubbles going for about 12 minutes. During this time, the bubbles doubled its volume to about ¼ of an inch thick.

The bubbles make this whole masking experience quirky! It gives a tingling (almost itchy) sensation – so, if you are sensitive to a feeling similar to this, please note that it may bring a bit of discomfort.

Heading towards the 10th minute, the bubbles popped and disintegrated to a dry clay like finish. I rinsed my face well with cold water.

The results are pretty good. My skin looks brighter and cleaner. This mask also did not dry up my skin.

Annie’s Way  Mask Gallery – Ginko + Sea Weed Anti- Wrinkle Eye Mask

This mask hydrates and moisturizes as well as brightens the skin around the eye area. It contains Ginko and Sea Weed extract which is effective in preventing wrinkles. Types of Sea Weed extracts are Chondrus Crispus (for 3D moisture lock, lengthen duration of skin hydration) and Lithothanum Calcarum Extract (for skin defense against free radicals, prevents aging).  Other notable ingredients include Sodium Hyaluronate (for skin hydration) and Alba Root Extract (relieves skin’s dull appearance).

This eye mask is made of ultra thin silk material with is much more absorbent and has better adhesion compared to other masks. It is very gentle on the skin making it the perfect material for an eye mask.

Similar to the other Annie’s Way mask from this line, applying this mask takes is a bit of a challenge. It is very thin – a simple tug can deform the shape of the mask. What makes it trickier is the size of this mask – it is only half the size of the regular mask. Also the eye holes are not completely removed. I applied the mask with my eyes half closed. The flaps on the holes were covering my eyes and I had to gently (tenderly) fold it to keep it out of the way. The unscented essence has a very mild formula and did not sting my eyes.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes before removing it. No tacky of sticky reside was left on my skin. The skin around my eye area looks healthier and brighter too. I am sure that a few more use of this mask will produce better results.
