Challans de Paris Lotion Tonique Memoria


This toner contains Niacinamide, a water soluble vitamin that works to visibly improve enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. It also refines dull skin and uneven skin tone.

My skin drinks up this toner like water. One of the things that I like about it is its ability to immediately refresh my skin after cleansing. The cold weather is drying me skin and this toner provides a soothing relief to it.


Challans de Paris Essence de Beaute Memoria


This essence has a consistency of a light weight lotion. It is also scented like the crème (perfume is one of its ingredients) however, the scent is not as strong and definitely more mellow. As an essence, I like that it, it gives an extra boost of moisture into my skin. It also layers well with Challans de Paris Crème.
The only flaw perhaps is the bottle. The essence is not a flowing liquid, hence, it is hard to dispense the product from the heavy glass bottle. It needs to be tapped up-side down several times for the product to come out.

Let me start first with what I live with this crème: it is light weight, it sink in beautifully in my skin and in terms of moisturizing effect, it is perfect. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy and sticky after applying it. It dries to a smooth finish. Now, what I am on the fence with this is the strong scent. It actually smells good – but it is strong and it takes a while to mellow down. So here is the thing – if scents do not bother you then go for it! It is a beautiful moisturizer!

Aperire Super Origin


Coming from the Elasticity Line of Aperire, the Miracle Day and Bouncing Cream contains 81% root extracts. Called as the Root Cureflex – this is a combination of the words, Root + Cure + Complex – Aperire believes that “the source of life, the solution of healthy youth found in the roots” (sic).

The root components are from Yam, Lotus, Taro, Saururus Chinesis and Dandelion.
Yam Root – Rich in phytomucin and amino acids.
Lotus Root – Brightens the skin and improves elasticity.
Taro – Strengthens skin’s elasticity and skin barrier. It also brightens the complexion of the skin.
Saururus Chinesis Root – Smoothens the skin. It also improves the firmness of the skin.
Dandelion Root – Whitens and brightens the skin by suppressing the production of melanin.
Peony Root – Works as a natural preservative. It is also soothes inflamed skin.



There are two products under this line: the Miracle Day Root Essence and the Bouncing Root Cream. Both products are for improvement of the skin’s elasticity, texture as well anti-aging and brightening effects.



Miracle Day Root Essence

This essence has a very this and fluid consistency. In fact, it is almost similar to a toner. It barely has any detectable scent.





What I like about it is the refreshing and clean feeling that it leaves on my skin after using it. I know it is not a toner but it has a similar effect on my skin. It also preps my skin for better absorption of other skincare products that I apply and layer on my skin.

This essence dries to clean and smooth finish without leaving any trace of oiliness. I also did not have any allergic reaction while using this product.

Other notable ingredients (aside from the 5 main root extracts – Yam, Lotus, Taro, Saururus Chinesis & Dandelion) are extracts from  fermented soybean, maple, white willow bark, oregano and broccoli. It also has oils such as bergamot, lemon, orange, peppermint, tea tree and sunflower seed.  



[Aperire] Super Origin Bouncing Root Cream

This thick and very dense facial cream contains the following root extracts: yam, lotus, taro, saururus chinesis, dandelion and peony. Although it is very thick, this cream has a non-greasy moisturizing formula. It also works to strengthen the skin barrier, whiten the skin and well as improve fine lines and wrinkles.






What I like about this cream is that it can be used both in the morning and in the evening. Since it is non-greasy, it pairs well with other skin care products even make up. I also like that it is unscented.

Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling – Lemon

I should have used this peeling pad looong time ago! I love facial scrubs and exfoliants – and I’d be honest that sometimes I overdo it! Now, this pad is a cross between an exfoliator and a deep-skin cleanser.

Each tub contains 30 pads that are soaked in this concoction of lemon fruit extracts, lactic acid, glycolic and a whole bunch of botanical extracts such as orange, papaya, grapefruit, grape and soybean seed. It works to even-out the skin tone and improve the skin’s texture.


I use the gritty textured side of the pad to gently exfoliate my skin and the softer quilted side to remove and wipe off remaining facial debris then rinse.

The quilted soft side of the pad is used to wipe-off the removed dead skin and debris.


What I like about this pad is that it manually and chemically remove dead skin cell and it has instant visible results.  I like that it smoothens my skin and makes it look clearer and brighter.



There are two more variants of Bio-Peel Guaze Peeling – that would be the Wine, which has resveratrol (and I heard that it really smells like wine!) and the Green Tea, which is perfect to those with sensitive skin.

Now, although this pad exfoliates and removes nasty stuff on the face doesn’t mean that it is meant to be used as a cleanser. It should be used after removing make up and cleansing. It should also be rinsed –off with warm water. The formula of the serum is sticky and if left on the skin, it will be very uncomfortable and down-right disgusting! I mean, you just removed a bunch of dead skin, right?! Wash it off!

 As I have mentioned previously, I love mask packs. It is easy and convenient to use. I do not have to think about which product goes with what – I just have to open the package and I am good to go.



First Step: O2 Bubble Cleanser
This is a very creamy, lightly scented facial wash which lathers rich when mixed with water. It does not leave a dry and tight after-feel after rinsing. I honestly love this cleanser and I think that this would be a great individual product.



Second Step: Booster Ampoule
The amount of the ampoule in the sachet is plenty enough for two applications, however, I decided to use up all by layering it. This ampoule is watery and has a soapy scent. It is easily absorbed by the skin.
Aside from its hydrating effect, ampoules are used to prep the skin for more moisture absorption from masks and moisturizers.



Third Step: Mask
Unfortunately, this mask has an alcohol scent which lingered for a few minutes. It is well soaked in essence yet the mask absorbed the liquid in such a way that very little product was dripping on my neck.



I kept the mask on for 30 minutes. It really did hydrate and moisturized my skin very well. There is also no stickiness left behind by the essence from the mask.
