Foodaholic Protein Healing Bird Nest Essence Mask

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive to use this mask. I have never used a skincare product having bird’s nest essence as an ingredient.

The bird’s nest is made of male swallows’ saliva. It is rich in antioxidants, glycoprotein, aminoacids, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron and magnesium. Benefits of using this essence include cell regeneration and blood circulation. It also brightens the skin ad heals it from damages from the effects of free radicals.

Foodaholic  Protein Healing Bird Nest Mask is is Paraben free, Formaldehyde-Free, pigment free, Steroid free, Alcohol free and Benzophenone free.

The sheet mask itself is thick compared to most facial masks. It completely soaked up all the essence in the package. It has ear holes making it adhere and hold on well on the face. The scent is strong – very floral for my preference.

I kept the mask on for 40 minutes. In the end, it made my skin well moisturized leaving it feeling very hydrated and fresh. It also did not leave any sticky residue on my skin. Aside from the amazing immediate effects, this mask also did not make my skin oily the following day. All in all, I happy with this mask and will definitely purchase it in the future.

Ok, now I am having issues with the past 3 Ipsy bag design. It does not look good. In fact, it looks cheap. Ipsy had better designs in the past. Former bags also look more 'finished' and polished. This one looks like something bought on clearance from a factory. It's just BLAH.

Although I do not like the design of the bag this month, I have to admit that I like the selection of products included in my subscription. Having a brush included in my bag is always good because it is something that I will definitely use.  Too bad the Too Faced Setting Spray is extremely small - it really is just a sample and not even a deluxe sized sample. The two other bronzers, although a mini size, will definitely go a long way.

Healavie Brightening Serum Mask


When it comes to sheet masks, I prefer masks drenched in creamy serum instead of its watery counterpart. For me, it is less messy and I find it more effective in moisturizing my skin. The Healavie Brightening Serum Mask is exactly like this. The essence is thick and creamy making the whole masking experience luxurious. The cellulose type sheet makes it easy to apply and adhere on the skin.  I kept the mask on for a 40 minutes. The finish is beautiful. It left my skin well moisturized and very hydrated. The brightening effect is also immediately noticed. It gave “life” to my tired looking skin. There is also no tacky residue left on my skin. All in all I am happy with this mask – it answers my need for a cream based serum as well as work magic to my tired looking skin.

Green Tea and Enzyme Powder Wash

I love everything green tea. I love the taste, the scent, the look and the calmness that it represents. When Wishtrend gave me a chance to review their upcoming product which is green tea based, I immediately grabbed the opportunity.

Green tea is known for its very powerful anti-oxidants which is effective in purifying the skin. It is also rich in Vitamins A, C and E.

Another notable ingredient is this wash is papain which removes proteolytic enzymes, old keratin, and skin wastes to improve the skin texture.
 Using this wash is pure heaven. It has a very subtle scent of green tea latte which provides a very relaxing experience. It does not foam or lather like a typical facial wash, however, the results are far beyond what a typical foam wash could do. It cleanses the skin gently without making it feel dry. It also immediately brightens the skin. All in all, I am in love with this powder wash!
