WonderVeg Spiralizer Review

Having nifty tools in the kitchen is not essential but it definitely makes food preparation fun and the food styling unique. I was given an opportunity to try and review WonderVeg Spiralizer.

This spiralizer is manual machine that is made out of pure plastic. According to the product description that they have on Amazon, it is BPA free and it is durable.  However, visually, it doesn’t look that durable to me. The ‘body’ of the machine is pretty thin and looks pretty cheap. In fact, when I pulled it out from the box, one side of the machine absorbed the pink color of the book let that comes with it. I tried to wipe the pink stain but it was already absorbed by the plastic.

The whole package of this vegetable slicer contains 3 stainless steel blades: a shredder that creates long spaghetti-like stands, a chipper that creates long thick spirals and a straight blade that creates long ribbon like strands or chips. The bigger the vegetable the better – it works well with zucchini, carrots, beets, potato and cucumber.

The base has a suction cap which secures the gadget to your kitchen counter or table.  It also has a section where you can store the 2 other blades. The machine is pretty small and it doesn’t need a lot of space for storage.

Clean up is not that easy. Some of the food can get stuck in the blade – good thing it comes with a brush that can be used to clean all the nooks and crannies.
It also comes with a manual/recipe booklet.

Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

WonderVeg is available on Amazon.
