Leven Rose Jojoba Oil

I was given an opportunity to try and review Leven Rose Jojoba Oil. I have an idea what it is and what it is for because I see Jojoba Oil written in most bottles in the beauty section at the drugstore.

Jojoba oil comes in two colors – the pure version has a golden color while the processed one is clear and transparent. This oil also has a long shelf life and it does not oxidize easily and turn rancid like other oils. 

Jojoba oil is structurally and chemically similar to human sebum. It is noncomedogenic – it will not clog your pores and cause your skin to break out. It is also non toxic and non-allergenic – it will not irritate your skin especially the sensitive skin around your eyes. 

How to Use Jojoba Oil:

Facial Moisturizer – Use it at night by applying a few drops on your face and neck.  Many people swear by using Jojoba Oil to treat acne. 

Skin Moisturizer – Use a few drops right after shower. You can also mix your own concoction of shea butter, jojoba oil and essential oil. Whip all the ingredients and use it like a regular body cream.

As a carrier oil for DIY skin care – Add essential oils and other butters to create your own DIY skin care products. 

Lip Balm – Apply a small drop on your lips.  You can also mix Jojoba Oil with beeswax for a DIY lip balm.

Make-Up Remover – I honestly have not tried this – I usually use Boscia or Neutrogena Oil cleanser and it works like magic. To use Jojoba Oil as a cleanser, apply a few drops to a cotton pad and gently wipe of your make-up.  It can also be used to remove eye shadow, liner and mascara! 

Manicure/Pedicure – Use Jojoba oil as cuticle oil.

Hair Moisturizer– Add a few drops of Jojoba Oil in your conditioner.  You can also use a few drops as a hair serum to tame fly-aways. 

Leven RoseJojoba Oil is 100%  pure and organic.  It is cold pressed and made in USA. I like that it is stored in a dark amber bottle – this method of storing extends the shelf life of the oil. This oil is pure and there is no off-smell. I like buying pure Jojoba oil rather than buying it as an added ingredient in any cosmetic product.  I feel like I get the most of its benefits that way.
