What Can I Buy?

I was given an opportunity by Crave Naturals to review their Precisio Tweezers. There are a lot of tweezers in the market and I have quite an experience on what kind of tweezers really works and what kind is better of using for arts and crafts.

Here are the things that I noticed about the Precisio:

1. It has a very nice handle that makes it easy to grip. This is important when you are in that intense moment of plucking your brows or taking out a splinter in your toe!

2. It is very sharp!

3. The slanted tip makes it really good on ingrown hairs.

4. It is made of high quality surgical grade stainless steel.

According to the website, they are offering a 100% risk free purchase. Should the tweezers become dull or just simply breaks, they will offer a full refund or a replacement guaranteed. Now, that’s what I call a great customer service too!

How to clean (provided on their website):

Wash with water a hand soap or kitchen soap. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Wipe down the tweezers with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball.
Leave the tweezers to dry.
Return the tweezers in the protection tube to protect the tweezers from dust and other elements.

All in all, I like this tweezers. It serves its purpose and it does what it is supposed to do. The bonus would be the clear tube that comes with it.

Generation Beauty is a 2-day beauty event held once a year in Los Angeles and New York. I attended the one in Los Angeles held at LA Live last May 30 and May 31st. It is definitely one of the best beauty event of the year! Why? Because there were freebies everywhere! There is a different goodie bag per day and all participating brands also give out something for free. Aside form that, there were also opportunities to experience the brands first hand, which, I think is also great!

Thirty Two brands participated this year. It was a good combination of high-end and low-end products.

Mishibox is a monthly subscription beauty box that features products from Korea. They launched around June 2015 and just recently opened up for new subscribers. Each box contains 4-6 sample size and full size products ranging from skin care, hair care to cosmetics.

I am quite curious about this box. You see, I have been trying to look for good quality Asian products and most of the time, I find that either it is too expensive to purchase for trial or it is just way perplexing to understand how to use it. What I like about this box is that it is well curated. The variety of goodies allowed me to try something different from what the usual stuff that I use.

Case in point: The Snail Bee Mask. I am bit apprehensive in using this one but my friend told me that the snail goop is really good for the skin and that it really plumps it up. I will try this later on and I will post a review.

Another product in the box that caught me by surprise is the shampoo with this root-like thing (ginseng root) submerged in the bottle. Pardon my ignorance but I really thought at first glace that it was a worm!

Although the products are pretty interesting, I am not really 100% sold on subscribing. Maybe I will try again and check the July box. If they offer more cosmetics, then maybe I will continue the subscription.

Struggle. Brushing my long dry hair is always a struggle. I always end up having a handful of hair strands enough to make a wig stuck in my brush. Same story with my 4 year old daughter who has wavy hair. Every morning and after shower, she would scream bloody murder while I brush her hair.

Now, about a few weeks ago, I was introduced to this fairly new beauty brand called Crave Naturals and their Glide Thru Detangling Brush.

I like how the brush looks like. Heck, I like that it is in pink! But did it work? Did the brush deliver what it was claiming to do? YES! It worked like magic. It worked well with my very dry hair and it worked equally better right after shower, when my long hair is wet and tangled up like crazy. I also noticed that I had less hair stuck in this brush. Finally, the ultimate test, my daughter's hair - no more tears and no more screams! The brush literally glided thru all the tangles knots without breaking her hair. My little one loved it!

One thing I noticed about this brush is that the design is very unique. It's odd-shaped structure gives me a pretty good grip when using it. The bristles are also sturdy yet soft enough not to cause hair breakage. It also feels good on the scalp - it feels like it is gently scratching and massaging you at the same time.

There's a lot of brush in the market that looks like the Crave Glide Thru Brush, but I can honestly say that this one really works.
