Christmas Gift Idea: Electric Sharpener
There are some things in life that we think we do not need, however; once we have it, we suddenly feel like this ‘thing’ is definitely a must have item!
I have a Four year old daughter who is in to coloring – we have tons of coloring materials including colored pencils. We use a cute regular sharpener to sharpen the pencils – it does the work and I have no complaints until one day when I sharpened the entire box of more than 50 pencils! Boy, my hands were tired and I ended up with a sore and blistered thumb. I then remembered my good –ole Elementary days when I was sharpening my million and one pencils at the Library’s electric sharpener. Snap! That’s what I need! I need an electric sharpener!

I am very fortunate to be given an opportunity to try and test an electric sharpener right at the moment when I was contemplating on buying one. This electric sharpener by Imikas is seriously one of the best that I have seen in the market. The design is pretty sleek and lightweight. There are three sharpness settings for the graphite point - blunt, medium and sharp. This is important if you are not comfortable handing very sharp pencils to kids. It also accepts multi power sources such as batteries, AC power and USB cord. The blade is made of stainless steel and it also has a power cut-off safety feature that prevents operation when the tray is removed.
I am very happy with this sharpener. Very easy to use and very easy to clean too!
