Boxy Charm is a monthly beauty subscription service. It features 4-5 full sized products. The cost of subscription is $21 and that already includes shipping. The value of the entire box is more than triple the amount of the subscription.  Brands included are more on the higher scale making this box one of the most inexpensive way to try fancy cosmetics and skincare items.

The theme this month is Au Natural

It features natural skin care and earth inspired colors in make-up.

As always, this month has 5 full sized items.

Here are the items in the box:

Here is a closer look:

Elemis
Superfood Vital Veggie Mask
MSRP: $35

Luxie
Gaea 3 Piece Brush Set
MSRP: $30

Alamar Cosmetics
Mother of Pearl Gloss
MSRP: $10

Butter London
Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette
MSRP: $32

My two favorites in this month's box are hands down the Elemis mask and the Butter London Palette! The mask looks really good the the palette's colors are beautiful and wearable for everyday look.

On a side note, I am really grateful that there are subscription boxes such as Boxycharm. If it were not for Boxycharm, I wouldn't be able to try (let alone own) these amazing (and expensive) products! I have discovered a lot of products through this subscription service. Yes, there are months when the stuff are not so good but most of the time, it is a win.

ALSO, if you still don't know, #BCinSession is FINALLY happening this coming October in Los Angeles! Go grab your tickets now! I bet it's gonna be a lot of fun. :)

Yes, Oh Yas! is a monthly beauty subscription box featuring 3-7 full sized products. The cost of subscription is $14.99 plus shipping cost is $3.99 (including Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii) making it a total of $18.98 per month.

The theme this month is Cali Love

Here's a closer look of the goodies:

Laqa and Co
Cloud Lips

Sorme Treatment Cosmetics
Natural Green Tea Blotting Paper

Crown Brush
Angled Brush

Markeraide
Facial Mask

Beauty Creations
Cali Set Eyeshadow Palette

According to Yes Oh Yas, the total retail value of the items in the box is $94. Here is the breakdown:
Beauty Creations Palette: $28
Sorme Blotting Paper - $12
Laqa & Co - $20
Crown Brush Contour Brush - $22
Masker Aide - $12

The declared value of the unknown Markeraide mask made me take a second look on the items in this month's box. I first checked the retail price of the masks online and found it between $4-$6 dollars per piece versus the $12 that Yes Oh Yas declared.

I then checked the other items and I was pretty surprised with what I found:

The Beauty Creations Palette is only  $17 online at Beauty Creations website. This is the regular price and not a sale price.

The Crown Brush Ombre Angle Brush is on sale at Crownbrush.com for only $.99 cents - a whopping $21 difference!

The Laqa and Co Cloud lipstick is only $17 compared to the declared  $20 price tag. This is the regular price and not a sale price.

I do not understand why Yes Oh Yas would deliberately inflate the value of their items just to make it sound like its subscribers are getting 300% more than what the subscription costs. Dishonest acts such as these can cost their company in the long run. I feel like like they underestimated their subscribers by feeding us wrong information and expecting us to just swallow it up.
We are not dumb.

Too bad because their stuff are really good. They just have to be honest about the information that they give to their subscribers.

Is is really $94???

This experience taught me to always -always- always double check everything! Now, specially, with Yes Oh Yas!

Here's a closer look of the goodies:

Crown Brush Pro
Trio Brush Set
Retail: $29.99

This three-set brush is the perfect spring must have! The pink and white color combination reminds me of Easter.

OFRA Cosmetics
Pop-Up Palette Mini and Godet Refill
Retail: $19 for the Palette  $12 for the Godet

This palette is magnetic and can hold a few cosmetic essentials. It is perfect for travelling and quick touch-ups.  You no longer have to fill your bag with individual palettes for blush, shadow and powder - it can all be placed in this reliable make-you-own palette. It's like creating your own customized palette! How awesome is that?

PUR
X- Faux Lips Plumping Lip Exfoliator
Retail: $17

Contains shea butter, raw sugar and exfoliating beads. It exfoliates, hydrates, softens and plumps lips!

Cover FX
Shimmer Veil
Retail: $28

This creamy shimmer can be used as eye shadow or highlighter. It's crease-proof and weightless.

Vintage Cosmetics
Smokey Eye Pencil
Retail: $21

Highly pigmented eye pencil, perfect for making the boldest and dramatic look. It has a creamy formula that is easy to smudge. It also glides on lids without pulling or tugging.

All in all the total value of this month's Boxycharm is $126.99! Great value considering the cost of the box. My favorite item in the box is the Vintage eyeliner, PUR lip scrub and the brushes (of course).  The (almost) empty Ofra palette is not really for me, I do not own tons of godet but I like the idea of creating your own palette.

MishiBox is a Korean beauty monthly subscription box.

It offers a combination of 4-6 deluxe and full-sized Korean beauty products each month. Subscription is $19.95 per month with free shipping.  They also offer an annual subscription rate of $239.40. This is the easiest and most affordable way to try and test Korean beauty brands.

Each box contains a card describing all the items in the box.  It also gives the instructions on  how to use the products.  This is very helpful since most labels and how to's are written in Korean.

Here's a closer look of the items:

Double & Zero
Double Care Solution Black Mask
Retail: $3
Full Size

This mask contains bamboo charcoal which absorbs dirt. It also has Bulgarian Rose extract which brightens the skin.

Petitfee
Dry Essence Foot Mask
Retail: $4
Full Size

This foot mask contains dry essence which is already infused with the cloth - hence no slippery and wet feel during treatment.

Purito
Cantella Green Level All In One Mild Pad
Travel Size
Value: $1

This on-the-go trial size is perfect for removing remaining make-up that is not removed by cleanser alone. It contains Cantella Asiatica extract which gently exfoliate the skin as well as decrease inflammation.

Medilab
Black Rose Ampoule
Deluxe Sample Size
Value: $14???
(That is according to Mishibox Product Card)

Contains 64% Damask Rose Water. It brightens, improves and even out the skin's texture. Notable ingredients includes: Rose Oil, Argan Oil and Camelia Oil.

I tried this ampoule already and it is really good. It is slightly scented.  Unfortunately, the price is a bit steep for me - if a small size like this is already $14 then I wonder how  much a full size would cost? Oh well.

Beauskin
Crystal Lipstick
Retail: $12
Full Size

Highly pigmented lipstick. It is also very moisturizing on the lips. It did not dry my lips at all.

Choonee
Water-Peak Moisture Gel
Retail: $12
Full Size

This is the perfect summer moisturizer because it is not heavy on the skin. It is very refreshing and hydrating without leaving the skin oily. It also contains hyaluronic acid.

The value of this month's Mishibox is $46 - but the selection is not that amazing. The only thing that I like in the box is the Medilab ampoule and unfortunately it came in a trial size. The masks are ok but the value it pitches in the box doesn't make a dent. I like the lipstick from Beauskin simply because  the color I received suits me (and definitely not red or pink like always).

What I noticed about Mishibox is that the monthly boxes are either a hit or a miss. It is not consistent in terms of value or curation.
