Innisfree Volcanic Konjac Cleansing Sponge
Full Size!

This sponge is made of natural fibrous root of the konjac plant. I remember when konjac first came to the beauty scene and everyone was just all over it. I honestly find konjac sponges very effective in gently exfoliating the skin. However, it is not something that would last for a long time. It can harbor tons of bacteria and even serve as a breeding ground for molds if not cleaned and dried properly.

BEVY C. Lumiwhite Collection

“Global Pioneer of Pre-Makeup Skincare”

BEVY C. is a skincare line from Taiwan which promotes “pre-make-up” care. It nourishes the skin as well as serves as a good base and primer for makeup. It is a simple yet effective, high quality skincare line. All of its products do not contain Alcohol, Tretinoin, MI, MCI and Artificial Pigments. Its ingredients are based on natural, botanic and organic materials.

All products have gone through 48 hours of skin allergy patch test making sure that there will be no possible adverse reaction.

It proudly declares that it practices human sensitive testing and that it is cruelty-free.

The Lumiwhite Collection is all about water balance, oil control and hydration. The line prepares the skin by providing it with ultra moisture and by creating a smooth and perfect canvass for makeup.

Lumiwhite Moist Up Lotion

This is a lightweight gel-type facial lotion that is best used right after cleansing. It provides all-day hydration without making the skin oily. It brightens the skin and balances its pH.

My thoughts:
I am very pleased with this facial lotion. Honestly, I was not expecting it to be a gel-type and clear. It has a thin consistency that is almost a bit runny. It is very similar to toners. The scent is pleasing, almost unnoticeable. I do think that perhaps it does not contain any perfume. The watery consistency of this lotion turns a bit oily once in contact with the skin however, upon absorption, I did not feel or even notice any oily residue on my skin. It is true that it is very light weight and refreshing.

Ingredients: Aqua, 1,3-Propanediol, Honey Extract, Aloe Vera, Rose Extract, Chamomile Extract, Algae Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Carbopol, Witch Hazel Extract, Pentavitin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Coceth-7, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether and PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil.

Lumiwhite Moist Up Elixir

Provides 24 hours of hydration. It also replenishes dry and thirsty skin.  It turns base makeup into a facial mask. It controls the skins’ production of oil without stripping essential moisture. Aside from this, it also brightens the skin.

My Thoughts:
This elixir has a slightly thick, gel like texture that starts off a little oily when first applied to the skin. Once absorbed, the finish is nice and matte. Absorption of this product is excellent; it only takes a few seconds for the emulation to be completely absorbed by the skin.

Ingredients:
Aqua, PEG-8, Butylene Glycol, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Witch Hazel Bark/Leaf/ Twig Extract, Glycerin, Subtilisin, Sodium PCA, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Natto Gum, Chlorphenesin, Isoceteth-20, Zinc Phenolsulfonate, Retinyl Palmitate, Xantham Gum, Sodium Citrate, Fragrance, Ceramide 1,2,3,5,6ll & Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glycine Soja Sterols, Ceramide 2,3,6 & Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate.

Lumiwhite Moist Up Emulsion

This emulsion whitens, hydrates and restores the skin. It helps retain moisture, balances skin’s oil and tightens pores leaving the skin silky smooth.

My Thoughts:
This elixir has a consistency of a thin lotion. It is white in color and a little scented. It feels similar to an essence, both in texture and effects. Upon applying the emulsion, it immediately leaves the skin very fresh and silky. It is true that it did control the oiliness of my skin throughout the day. Usually, in the late afternoon, my t-zone would get a bit oily already and this emulsion did keep the oiliness at bay.

Ingredients:
Purified Water, 1-3 Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-7, Squalane, Lemon Extract, Orange Flower Water, Aloe Extract, Propylene Glycol Monostearate, Polyoxyethylene Glyceryl Monostearate, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Extract, Licorice Extract,Behenyl Alcohol, Hydrolyzed Prunus Domestica, Glycerin/ Dithiaoctanediol/Gluconic Acid/Sutilains/ Beta-Carotene, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi Leaf Extract/ Mitracarpus Scaber Extract, Ceramide, Sodium Polymethacrylate, Propylene Glycol/ Diazolidinyl Urea/ Methyl Paraben/ Propyl Paraben, Fragrance.

Over All Thoughts

My morning skincare and make up routine is very simple considering that I am always in a hurry to go to work. What I like about BEVY C. Lumiwhite collection is its simplicity. Only three products and it provide the best pre makeup skincare I need for the day.

IPSY is a $10 monthly subscription box of beauty products.

Each box (or pink package) contains a make-up pouch that is designed according to the monthly box theme. The bag contains a combination of 4-5 sample and full size products. This subscription box is the best way to try and test different make-up brands without breaking the bank. This is also a cheap way to build your make up arsenal. :)

Ipsy ships to US and Canada.

This month's theme is: Spellbound

Boxy Charm also celebrates the same Spellbound theme this month. This for sure was over looked by either of the two subscription service. Having the same theme will automatically pit them against each other.

Here are the items:

I received 2 full size and 3 deluxe sized items.

Here's a closer look:

Ipsy Glam Bag
I have to be honest, this is the ugliest Ipsy bag ever. It looks something straight from the reject bin in 1989.  The red lace design is do dated and poorly made.

Urban Decay
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
Deluxe Size

STUDIOMAKEUP
Gloss Coleur Intense in Kiss
Full Size

IT Cosmetics
Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder
Deluxe Size

FIRST AID BEAUTY
Ultra Repair® Cream
Deluxe Size

Dermelect Cosmeceuticals
Dermelect ‘Me’ in What-A-Gem or Verdure
Full Size

This month's Ipsy Glam Bag is a big fail for me. Everything is just out of place. The curation and selection of the products are very poor and boring. Having Spellbound as a theme, Ipsy could have been more exciting and mysterious. This was all just a wasted theme.

Hoping Ipsy redeems itself next month!

Blue Beautifly is an organic skin care line that creates and promotes non-gmo, fair trade and cruelty free products for women and men. All ingredients used in their unique concoction are natural and high quality sans the complex chemicals that are harmful to the skin and body.
Blue Beautifly is one of the cleanest skincare lines I have ever encountered.

It refuses to use any of the following ingredients:

·        No Artificial Colors
 No Synthetic Fragrances
 No Chemical Preservatives
 No Phenoxyethanol
 No Formaldehyde
 No Parabens
 No Mineral Oils
 No Petrochemicals
 No Aluminum
 No Silicones
 No Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs)
 No Polypropylene Glycols (PPGs)
 No Diethanolamines (DEAs/MEAs)
 No Sulfates
 No Talc
This is good considering that the skin absorbs everything that is applied to it, hence, we must be conscious in what products we use.

Organic Regenerating Oil Serum

I am a big fan of aromatherapy that is why when I first tested this oil serum, I was seriously floored on how amazing it smells! The oil is rich, thick and golden in color. The scent is very rejuvenating and pleasant to the senses. It contains extracts from Immortelle, Calendula, Chamomile and Lavender. It also has this amazing blend of oils which includes Sea Buckthorn Berry, Pomegranate, Tamanu, Black Seed, Argan, Jojoba, Camelia Seed, Coconut and Olive.
This very therapeutic oil is like caviar for the skin. It rejuvenates the senses and moisturizes the skin without making it oily.

Antioxidant Serum

This serum has a consistency and texture of a light moisturizer. It contains age-defying anti-oxidants such as Immortelle, Green Tea, Cranberry, Rose Hip, Calendula and Rose. It also has Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Argan Oil, jojoba Oil, Camelia Seed and Shea Butter.  The scent is also divine – it is a blend of Tangerine, Lavender and Jasmine.
What I love about this serum is that it can be a stand-alone moisturizer.  It is easily absorbed by the skin and it immediately hydrates and moisturizes it.
One edge that Blue Beautifly has compared to other brands that I have tried is that it did not compromise the power of scent. Some brands either remove the scent or just go wild with it. Blue Beautifly incorporated natural scents from plants to enhance the quality of their products thus creating a very luxurious experience to the user.

This month's theme is Spellbound - inspired by the upcoming Halloween festivities.

Leaders 7 Wonders Kalahari Melon Moisturizing Mask

Let me first start off with how much effort  and confusion I had when I first applied this mask – simply because I did not read the damn instructions! I initially thought that the thickness, texture and fit of this mask is incredibly weird and off. It was thick, crunchy and awkward and it is because I only removed one side of the protective sheet instead of removing both.

So, once both of the protective sheets has been removed, the actual mask revealed to be this amazing bio-cellulose material that conforms and contours to the shape of the face. It sticks like it is another layer of my skin. It deeply hydrated my skin and left it nicely smooth and supple.

Skin's Boni Yogurt Mask

I love the concept and package design of this mask. It is very retro and current at the same time. Who doesn’t know the shape of this bottle? I remember gulping down several bottles of Yakult (yogurt drink) back when I was a child. Even my daughter loves this!

Now, back to the mask. I was pretty much surprised when I opened the package and saw that even the mask carried on the yogurt concept. The mask is well drenched in an off-white colored essence that is almost similar to that of a yogurt. It even smells like the actual thing – a little tart and sweet.  In fact, the scent lingered the whole time the mask was on my face. It was a bit weird but I guess the brand is after a realistic yogurt experience!

This mask helps balance the skin’s pH. The healthiest level is when the skin is at a pH level of 5.5. I noticed that right after I kept this mask on for 25 minutes, my skin felt softer, smoother and a bit brighter. It also hydrated my skin well. As a matter of fact, even the day after, my skin felt very moisturized and supple.

I honestly enjoyed using this mask. It is fun, effective and very nostalgic.

I am a firm believer that make up must be completely removed from the face before going to sleep – I even take it up a notch by erasing every single bit of it the moment I step in the house, before I do anything! Squeaky clean skin for me is a must and that is something that I take time to do every single day.

Rejuva Minerals is an American based skincare line which provides eco and vegan friendly products that are free from common skin irritants. It has a wide array of cosmetic and skincare products that are mica and gluten free.

I was given a chance to try and review their Botanique Naturels Cranberry Fruit Makeup Remover Pads and I am very happy because the offer came in a perfect time because I was in need of a good make up remover already.

It is infused with organic cranberry water and aloe which are powerful antioxidants and skin soothing ingredients. It is perfect for sensitive skin because it does not contain alcohol, artificial perfume and dyes as well as parabens, phthalates, SLS and petroleum. It is proudly vegan and cruelty free.

As per instruction, I simply swiped the pre-moistened pads all over my face. However, I tweaked it a little bit; I started first on my eye area by keeping the pad on for a few seconds before swiping all the eye makeup away. I then proceeded to wiping the entire face.  I am very impressed on how it effectively erases and removes every single bit of makeup – including mascara. It also love that it does not have any strong scent. The formula is obviously very gentle because I did not feel any sting, tightness and dryness on my skin. I used two pads to completely clean my face. The first pad removed all the products while the second one removed tiniest residues. Note that this is just my personal preference since I really want my skin to be free from any speck of makeup.
